Clients – account value and service health

The account view. Active Clients, Avg Revenue / Client, At-Risk Accounts and Avg Quality sit as cards, then Client Revenue vs Cases, Average SLA by Client, Average Quality by Client and a labelled Monthly Case Volume line. The sidebar reports the largest single account, the count of breached engagements and each client’s share of revenue. In the demo data the quality spread across eight clients is narrow – 94.5 to 95.6 – which is exactly the kind of finding a chart makes obvious and a spreadsheet column does not.

Who Should Use This Template

Opportunities for Improvement

Being straight about the limits: the KPI cards not reacting to slicers is a deliberate design choice, but it does surprise first-time users – read step 4 of the Instructions tab before you decide it is a bug. The 1,000-row ceiling is generous for a monthly engagement log but tight if you plan to load daily transaction-level records; raising DATA_ROWS in the Apps Script file solves it, and that does mean touching the script. There is no live connection to a ticketing or telephony platform, so the Data sheet is refreshed by paste or by your own import. And the sample clients, managers and locations are entirely generated – none of the figures in the screenshots describe a real company.

Best Practices

  1. Keep the headers exactly as they are. The pivots, slicers and charts read the Data sheet by column name; renaming a header is the single fastest way to break a chart.
  2. Load a full 12 months before you judge a trend. The revenue and case-volume trends are built for a rolling year and read badly on two weeks of data.
  3. Use one row per engagement per month. That is the grain the sample data uses and what the Cases / FTE and Revenue / FTE ratios assume.
  4. Clear slicers with Select all. Open the slicer and choose Select all rather than hunting for a reset button; slicers are per page, so clear the page you are on.
  5. Duplicate the file per client if you need to. A view-only copy filtered to one account is often cleaner than teaching a client to use slicers.
  6. Keep contract and compliance work elsewhere. Use this for management reporting; SLA terms, penalties and regulatory obligations belong with the people and systems that already own them.
